That can be met three ways: natural ventilation, mechanical ventilation, or a hybrid. In practice, modern airtight and resort builds in the Algarve rarely reach the minimum with natural ventilation alone, so mechanical ventilation has become the usual way to meet it, even though it’s never strictly mandatory.
